In this episode of Your Life Your Success, I am joined by Dayelle Deanne Schwartz, the founder of the self-love movement – the perfect way to finish off the Month of Self-Love, don’t you think?
Daylle Deanna Schwartz has successfully constructed a dual career as an author, speaker and counselor for both personal self-empowerment and music business. The expertise gained from being one of the first women to start an independent record label helped her become one of the leading music business educators. Earning respect in the male-dominated music industry taught Daylle how to speak up and get taken seriously in nice, soft-spoken ways that get results, without alienating. She shares these techniques in her books, counseling and talks.
Daylle frequently appears on national TV and radio, including Oprah, Good Morning America and Howard Stern and speaks for colleges, organizations and corporations. Through her company, Project Self-Empowermet, Daylle writes books, speaks, and counsels people about how to empower themselves in work and play. Some of her books are Nice Girls Can Finish First, All Men Are Jerks Until Proven Otherwise and How to Please a Woman In & Out of Bed.
Daylle also empowers musicians to develop their careers and is considered the independent music guru by many industry people. Well-known for her best-selling books, Start & Run Your Own Record Label, I Don‘t Need a Record Deal! Your Survival Guide for the Indie Music Revolution and The Real Deal: How to Get Signed to a Record Label (Billboard Books/Random House), she also does consulting on the music industry for artists and independent record labels.
In addition, Daylle helps other people write their books and writes the popular blog, Lessons from a Recovering DoorMat on Beliefnet and a column on self-empowerment for Huffington Post. She‘s president of the NYC tri-state area chapter of American Society of Journalists and Authors and and very active in New York Women In Communications.
