It doesn’t have to be so hard.

It doesn’t have to be an uphill battle.

It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, binging or restricting, loving or hating, high up in the sky or lower than low.

Release the struggle.

It doesn’t have be heaven or hell.

Bootcamp style exercise or never moving at all.

Eating 1200 calories or stuffing without taking a breath.

It really, truly, honestly doesn’t have to be this way.

The struggle is not real.

It’s a lie we’ve been told – we’re telling ourselves.

It’s easy to struggle, it’s hard to surrender.

Or so we think. But in reality, just letting go and going in is what we’re born to do.

The breath, the moment of pause, the space in between, that is what it’s about.

The struggle is just a shield keeping us from experiencing all that life is about.

So, release it.

Let it go and move into the direction of what truly matters, what truly is.

Changing your relationship with food isn’t hard – you only tell yourself it is.

It isn’t impossible.

It isn’t hopeless.

Those are concepts in your mind, your fear speaking.

Not the fear of never escaping diet prison.

No, the fear of getting out.

Of what comes after, of what life will be like without the struggle, without the constant agony, the pain, the hurt, the shame, the guilt, the beating yourself up without fail.

That’s what you’re scared of.

That’s what you’re not used you.

You say you want it, but what you really want to do is continue to live in struggle, isn’t that true?

In a weird way, that is what you like, that’s what you love because that is what you know and do so so SO well.

But that’s not real life, so let’s get honest and change direction.

Into a life without the struggle.

Without the need, the wish, the burning desire to struggle and instead

FLOW.

Eating what you want when you want without pushing or pulling, restricting or binging.

Moving your body in ways that you love, adore, cannot stop doing because it’s just so much fun.

Loving fiercely without being scared of things changing, of not being loved in return.

Supporting, giving, respecting without believing that nothing good will last.

What would it take for you to do that?

What would you need to shift within yourself?

How would you have to show up in your life?

And would you even want that?

It’s a valid question, isn’t it?

After all, there’s so much struggle out there that not struggling makes you unicorn, someone standing out, being seen as different, weird, arrogant in some ways.

But who cares?

It’s not their life you’re living, it’s your own and that one is all that counts.

Release the struggle –

for yourself first

then your family

the love of your life

this amazing planet.

Do you believe that you can live without this?

Without the weight of the world on your shoulders?

The fear around your neck?

The constant hole in your belly reminding you of having to feel bad, of being inferior, of never measuring up?

Can you give yourself permission to change within?

To see life in a different light?

To hold yourself to a higher standard and allow yourself to be all that you truly are?

To shed the skins of fear and doubt and get to the core of your genius, your truest form?

You can and it starts right here.

By acknowledging that you want the struggle, you thrive on the struggle, you desire the struggle and you create the struggle.

Even if you don’t want to admit it to yourself, you know that that is what you’re doing.

You are allowing yourself to be the victim and you like it.

Acknowledge, breathe and release.

That’s what I do daily, what I’ve been doing for years.

Releasing the struggle anew –

day after day after day.

Affirming that I do not have to make everything soooo hard, so heavy, so freaking difficult.

Realizing that – in truth – it is easy, if only I want it to be.

Acknowledge, breathe and release.

And then –

change your language.

Stop confirming to yourself and the world that the struggle is real.

That it’s hard.

That it’s complicated.

Unfair.

Tricky.

Tangled.

Grueling.

Baaaad.

Notice and shift.

Notice and retract.

Notice and transform.

When you become aware of complaining, take a step back and – out loud – say to yourself that no, that’s actually not true. It’s the way I see it that makes it hard. There’s a different way of looking at this and I am willing to do just that.

Notice and shift.

Journal on everything that you ARE instead of writing about everything that you’re not.

Begin writing an I want list and voice your desires. Go big, go positive.

Hold yourself to a standard of affirmation instead of denial.

And you’ll soon see that the struggle is a choice.

That it’s all easy – that it’s all perfect – that even the sad, the negative, the overwhelming is as it is supposed to be.

Tears are easy, holding them back is hard.

Why make it hard on yourself?

Who are you trying to impress?

What are you trying to proof?

And who are you really fooling here?

A smile is easy, rage is exhausting.

Why are you making it hard?

Eating when you’re hungry is easy, not eating is hard.

Why are you denying yourself the pleasures of life?

Stopping when you’ve had enough is easy, binging is hard.

Why are you overwriting your body’s needs when the surrender is right around the corner?

When there’s struggle in the air, in your heart, mind, body and soul, you know that a shift is in order.

Release.

Release.

Release.

And give yourself the permission to live.

A life that is full of love, hope, rainbows, butterflies and yes, rain.

There’s no struggle in this life.

In this universe.

Perfection doesn’t create struggle.

Our ego does – because it’s bored, it’s scared, it’s wired to find problems and obstacles.

It doesn’t have to be so hard.

It doesn’t have to be an uphill battle.

It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, binging or restricting, loving or hating, high up in the sky or lower than low.

Release the struggle.
