Let’s face it, seeing your reflection in the mirror causes us to go into a meltdown more often that it should, right?
On some days, we may even shed some tears (OK, I used to do that all the time…).
We see our reflection and can’t help but beat ourselves up for not having more control over our eating or for not exercising enough. We look at our thighs and pinch the cellulite. We look at our arms and detest our wobbly flesh. We look at our face and see wrinkles and age.
It’s awful.
There’s got to be a better way, no? And there is!
If you commit to seeing your true beauty instead of your made up flaws, you can enjoy your daily look in the mirror and you can actually derive self-confidence from seeing your reflection.
But how do you do that?
It’s quite easy, actually. In today’s edition of Love Yourself Friday, I share three easy and quick tips that’ll help you to start your day with a smile instead of a groan. Not only will these tips immediately help you, but they’ll change your perspective in the long term and create a completely new way of perceiving yourself.
The more you practice these tips the better and the more intuitive they’ll get.
But as I’ve said in last week’s edition, you’ve got to take action in order to see results. Wishing for a better way will not do the trick. So, watch the video and implement at least one of the three suggestions I share with you. You’ll see how relieved you’ll feel just by taking one small action step.
In the comment section below, tell us what you did and how you feel. Do you think this’ll help you to accept your body and the way you look? Do you think this’ll lead you to loving yourself? What are your doubts and fears? I’d love to hear your opinion.

I love how practical your tips are – easy to incorporate and try out right away. And setting up positive expectations before even looking in the mirror just makes sense… priming our selves to like what we see. I’ve got post it notes up all over my house, including the mirror, and I find it really brings me back to my center.
I think it’s awesome that you’re proactive and that you plastered your home with positive notes. It makes all the difference, doesn’t it? Sometimes we just don’t have it in ourselves to be upbeat, but a little note can get us out of our heads and back to the present moment. xxx
