Life goes by sooooo fast, doesn’t it?
We hardly take a moment to stop and look at all the things we can be grateful for – especially when it comes to our body.
Yet, if you really think about it, there’s so much your body does for you and there’s so much you can – and should appreciate.
First of all, your body gives you the chance to live.
It lets you smile, heal, feel, hug, dream, act, run, do cartwheels, slide down snowy hills and swim like a fish through the ocean – pretty awesome things if you really think about it.
I’d like to challenge you to remind yourself of the miracles of your life and your body throughout this weekend. Set yourself little reminders to take a moment and really reflect on what it is your body enables you to do – even if it’s the most mondane and ordinary task like cleaning your kitchen floor.
Begin to be present inside your body and start the practice of saying ‘thank you, I’m grateful for this moment with you.’. You don’t have to mean it; at least not at the beginning.
Over time, if you keep at it and make it a habit, you will actually start to appreciate your body and treasure it for what it is, how it works and how it feels.
You will begin to start seeing that your body is not just a shell to look at, but a beautiful vessel that gives you the freedom to roam about in this world.
You will begin to treat yourself, your life and your body with much more care and consideration and you will ultimately be more happy and fulfilled.
Give it a shot and tell me about it in the comments below.
