Fat has a very important reason for its existence: it keeps us alive. We need fat to take another breath, to move one foot in front of the other, to hug our loved ones and live our dreams.

When we don’t eat fat, we can’t think, feel, work, ovulate (and thus get pregnant), burn calories efficiently, feel pleasure and be our highest self.

So, yes, fat is essential to life.

Fat is soft, it’s warm, it yields.

And the craving for it sends you clear signals that something’s not going right.

Sure, sometimes you might just be in a really crappy mood and you need some protein and fat to ground yourself and feel like you’re going to be OK again. And sometimes, a kebab, pizza, cheeseburger or French fries is simply wickedly great for the soul.

Listen to your body. Really listen to her. And then respond with the right actions that’ll take you to the next step in your wonderful life.
